Last Friday, on March 3rd, eStudio34 hosted an event dedicated to mobile acquisition for apps in collaboration with Typeform: The InAppEvent. We welcomed digital marketers with different professional profiles in Typeform’s beautiful offices and enjoyed together the inspiring talks and refreshing beers.

Did you miss the InAppEvent? Or do you want to go over the key ideas that our speakers shared with the audience? Here you find the full presentations so that you can learn from Google, eStudio34 and Billy’s tricks and techniques in mobile acquisition for apps.

1. How to Reach Your App Promotion KPIs with Google

Who did the talk?

Álvaro Gómez, who is Google’s Mobile Lead in Spain, helping Spanish advertisers to succeed in the new mobile paradigm. He works for some of the largest digital agencies in Spain, giving great advice so that they can grow and give excellent client service.

Alisa Nikitina, who is a Business Development Manager for Mobile App Partnerships team in Google. She works closely with Mobile-First agencies all over EMEA region.

What was their presentation about?

These two mobile experts showed how to grow your app using Google’s useful tools. They include an overview on the new mobile app trends, like mobile shopping, and explain how building a successful mobile app is a challenging journey for marketers and developers.

But how can we face all these challenges? Using the proper tools for measuring and controlling the app can be the key. That’s why they also talked about the latest tools in Adwords, like Google App Promo Suite and Universal App Campaigns, and Firebase, a new integrated platform very useful for measuring your app success.

2. eStudio34 – Job Today’s Case Study

Who did the talk?

Ugo Smith, who is a digital marketer in love with the online since the 90’s. For the past 10 years, he’s been working with top brands around the EMEA region. In 2010, he co-founded eStudio34, a digital agency where he leads the search teams and specialised in mobile analytics among other activities.

What was their presentation about?

A practical example is often more useful than plain theory. That’s why this presentation focused on a real case study from one of eStudio34’s clients, Job Today.

During the 6 months eStudio34 worked on Job Today’s mobile acquisition campaign, they made Adwords the best performing digital channel and, as a consequence, they achieved industry record low CPAs and improvements in ASO. How did they achieved it? They used Search, Display, YouTube, Universal App Campaigns and Sapphire combined with other offline channels.

3. Billy Mobile – User Acquisition and Monetization Wars

Who did the talk?

David Jordan, who is a Business Innovation leader specialised in Mobile Monetization and AdTech. He is leading the Affiliate Business in Billy Mobile, a performance affiliate platform designed for maximising the revenue in mobile traffic.

What was their presentation about?

Using Star Wars as a simile, this presentation explains the keys of user acquisition and monetization in mobile apps, focusing on the players and marketing strategies involved.

They point out that in most companies the user acquisition team and the monetization team worked separately, like two sides of a battle. But they suggest the ending of that “war”, as a way to achieve better results. Combine both teams into one, The Business Team, and create a combined Business Strategy using their different techniques.
